The X-Night RS is specially designed for cyclocross, made for those who want to navigate through mud and sand as quickly as possible. The aerodynamic tube shapes are based on those of the successful Falcn RS, and the steep angle of the head tube and shorter wheelbase create a geometry typical of cyclocross. The flattened bottom of the head tube allows the bike to be shouldered. With the D-shaped seatpost, the saddle will always remain in the correct position. A higher bottom bracket, on the other hand, ensures maneuverability through the muddied field.

Thanks to the additional space on the rear fork, mud will easily clear away. With attachment points for bottle holders, a removable front derailleur clamp, and a universal derailleur hanger, every detail has been considered.

The X-Night is now in its fifth generation, with various world champions having ridden its predecessors. With the innovative X-Night RS, Ridley once again sets the standard for the modern cyclocross bike.

Features

Cyclocross geometry: As usual on a cyclocross bike, the bottom bracket sits higher than on a gravel bike or road bike with the aim of riding agile and smoothly through the mud and taking short turns without touching the ground with the pedals. The steep angle of the head tube and shorter wheelbase allow the cyclo-cross rider to fully exploit his or her technique. Ridley designs a modified chainstay with extra space around the bottom bracket and between the rear wheel and the chainstay fork to allow for easy mud clearance. Thanks to these technical aspects, you can race for an hour, full on acceleration, braking, turning, turning and jumping. Everything you need to excel in cyclocross.
Aerodynamic tube shapes: Competition riders and ambitious amateurs naturally want first and foremost to cleave through the wind as fast as possible. Even in cyclo-cross, aerodynamics are still gaining importance. Average speeds are ever higher and races are more often a fly meeting. The X-Night RS therefore has aerodynamic tube shapes based on those of the successful Falcn RS.
D-shaped seatpost: The D-shaped seatpost is more aerodynamic than a round model. Moreover, it is also practical. When there is a fall, which is not rare in cyclo-cross, the saddle will always remain in the correct position. In this way, the X-Night RS is the most aerodynamic bike of this family.
Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH): The universal derailleur hanger (UDH) is the new standard in the cycling world. Not only is this derailleur hanger compatible with all modern shifting groups, it also protects against derailleur breakage and chain drops. In mountain biking, UDH has long been very common, and Ridley is bringing the technology to other segments as well.
Removable front derailleur clamp: Our innovative removable front derailleur clamp ensures a sleek, streamlined appearance when using a 1x setup. In collaboration with Wolf Tooth, we’ve developed a custom chainguide and chain catcher perfectly tailored to fit our frames. To maintain a clean and polished look, we’ve also designed a specialized cover to seamlessly replace the clamp when it’s not in use.
Down tube attachment points: Based on feedback from cyclocross riders at Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal, Ridley is putting special attachment points on the down tube to attach water bottle cages to the bike. This comes in handy in hot weather or during long endurance training sessions, as hydration remains an important part of exercise.
F-Steerer: Cables at the front of your bike have a major impact on its aerodynamic performance. On the flipside, getting rid of cables at the front has an aero advantage of a whopping 10 to 14%, depending on the bike. That's why Ridley's R&D department dedicated much time and effort into developing the D-shaped steerer tube, which integrates all front-end cables. This uniquely shaped steerer tube allows all cables to pass through the handlebar and stem, along the flat front area of the steerer tube and down into the frame.
